There are multiple root causes to illness and chronic or acute pain. It may be purely physical: from an injury, repetitive movements or overuse. It may have an internal root: stress, eating an inflammatory diet or excessive emotions such as worry, anger or fear. Eastern medicine and other traditional practices have historically been able to identify and address illness and pain through natural methods and techniques. The treatments below provide an overview of the services that may be included during your session.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture needles are the size of a couple of hairs. Some people feel a pinch or feel nothing at all. Each needle is made of solid stainless steel. They are inserted into various places in the body such as dips in the tissue or fascia, in between tendons or directly into the muscle. The points used are determined from a diagnosis using abdominal palpation for internal medicine , and Extore system to identify inhibited muscle in the cases of orthopedic disorders. Acupuncture helps to relax muscles and invigorate movement within the lymph system. When this happens there is many positive effects in the body: it reduces stress, relaxes the nervous system, it increases blood flow and the flow of hormones within blood. When the body is deeply relaxed, the brain easily slips into the state of sleep where healing occurs. Even if this happens for a few minutes, it has long lasting positive effects on the body.

Electro Acupuncture, Dry Needling & Fascial Release Techniques

Electro Acupuncture is used for chronic or acute injuries on otherwise healthy people. A needle is inserted into the muscle belly and then electrodes are attached to the needles. You may feel a slight vibration or a twitching of the muscle depending on your particular body type. The twitching and vibration helps to increase blood flow in the area. Soft tissue techniques are applied after the treatment to help the surrounding tissue regain functionality and to heal.
